POSITION PURPOSE: To maintain the entire hotel facility, including physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C. systems and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventive maintenance programs. Ensure the upkeep of guest areas to maintain an attractive hotel. Manage all rehabilitation, expansion, and special projects. Education: Graduation high school or equivalent. Apprenticeship and/or advanced training program for operating engineers recognized by the industry. Any other combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job requirements. Four year college degree in Civil, Electrical or similar discipline preferred. Experience: Minimum of five to ten years combination of in school and hands on work experience in commercial buildings with complex electrical systems. |

To maintain a superior quality of cleanliness in all public areas, guest rooms, offices, and back-of-the-house areas. To keep a working inventory of all cleaning and guest room supplies: linen and uniforms, etc. To ensure proper safe storage and handling of all chemicals. Ensure proper training of all team members is completed and enforced. Keep communications open between the departmental team members, all other departments and the hotel guests. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervise the productivity of the Inspectors, Room Attendants, Lobby Attendants, Laundry Attend-ants, and House Attendants. Personally tour the hotel to ensure that the cleanliness levels are maintained and standards are being enforced. Inspect stay over and vacant guest rooms while walking each individual guest floor, vending and storage/service area. Fill in as floor supervisor as necessary. Ensure guest rooms meet Hilton Columbus and Olshan Properties Hotel standards. Maintain room control procedures; report all discrepancies to the Director of Rooms and the Front Office Manager. |

To keep all Front Office Agents, Concierge, Bell, Valet and Shuttle, and PBX team members well trained in every section of the department. Keep communications open between staff and all departments to avoid any misunderstanding of the hotel’s goals, guest relationships, and the type of service that is required. Promote the morale of department team members. Maintain guest standards for service by: anticipating guests’ needs, ensuring requests are followed up on, monitoring and recognizing guest service trends and acting on them. Ensure V.I.P. service and local tourist information is provided to all guests of the hotel . Work closely with the Front Office Manager. Education: High School Graduate or equivalent. Additional education or experience to meet the required job knowledge, skills, and abilities. Basic Front Office knowledge gained by experience or formal training. College Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years Hotel Front Desk experience and one year Front Office Supervisory experience required. Previous Hotel/Restaurant Management experience preferred. Supervisory skills acquired through formal education or on the job training. Must possess general knowledge of hotel operations. |
