2025 Recap

On February 11th, 2025, 13 teams participated in the Columbus Hotel Games, an event that brought together members of our hospitality community.

The competitive games focused on the Travel & Tourism industry, providing an excellent opportunity for teams to bond and work together. It was an enjoyable afternoon filled with lots of laughter and enthusiasm.

Mason Zimmer & Jason Abady from the Greater Columbus Sports Commission were reprising their roles as Co-Emcees for the games this year.

Their tom-foolery and antics helped the teams navigate the hospitality-related obstacles before them. These challenges included Human Ring Toss, Linen Shot Put, Roll Away Relay, Plunger Skiing Relay, Pineapple Hockey, and our favorite Columbus Trivia.

This year’s competition was fiercer than ever, but here is who came out on top:

Best Team Spirit
Hilton Columbus/Polaris

Best Team Leader
Jasmine Ward, Levy Restaurants

Most Valuable Supporter
James Gomes, Cherry Valley Hotel

Best Teamwork
Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel

Most Valuable Player(s)
Justin Vance and Gary Porter, Hyatt Regency Columbus

Though all teams battled fiercely, only one was left standing.

Congratulations to our Grand Champion of the 2025 Columbus Hotel Games...The Blackwell Inn!
