Columbus, OH -- Hospitality industry leader Michael Holtzleiter has been promoted to  Vice President of Operations for Columbus Hospitality Management, adding another experienced executive to its leadership team. In this role, Holtzleiter ensures the properties are providing a consistent, high level of service excellence based on established company standards and guest expectations. His responsibilities include project and asset management for branded and independent hotel, restaurant, and event center businesses.

“Michael has the passion for people, leadership experience, and a proven track record to drive quality and performance at our assets to poise our third-party managed properties for continued growth,” said Kathyrn Burton, CHA, CTA, Chief Operating Officer with CHM. “He is a third-generation hotelier with a proven ability to lead successful teams and service efforts as a champion of our company culture. He is laser focused on our financial stakeholder, associate, and guest experience as hospitality, determination, and the pursuit of excellence is in his blood.”

Holtzleiter joined Columbus Hospitality Management in February 2005. He began his career at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Downtown Columbus. Holtzleiter has been a General Manager within Columbus hospitality for 11 years, and opened the Hyatt Place Columbus OSU, Courtyard by Marriott Columbus OSU, and the Grand Event Center.

Holtzleiter has served as president of Destination Grandview since 2012. He helped create the first visitor bureau for the City of Grandview; recruited and lead the selection committee for the board of directors; established 5-year goals; and worked with the City of Grandview to secure a three-year funding structure. The organization has accounted for $297,000 of economic impact since 2013.
