The Roberts Conference Centre located in Wilmington Ohio is currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager to Join our Sales team.  The Sales Manager is responsible for the generation of group/event business, maximizing profits, and revenue for the entire Roberts complex. Hotel Sales/ Associations Sales Experience is required. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for achieving established revenue goals. Accurately completes monthly sales reports, monthly pace reports. Responsible for the generation and completion of quarterly action plans. Responsible for targeted sales strategies for individual market segments appointed them, direct sales, client entertainment, outside sales calls, prospecting, inquiries, site tours, group ticket sales, etc… Ensure that all event agreements are done in compliance with standard operating procedures and/or via discussions with Director of Sales/General Manager. Ensure that all data is recorded accurately in Delphi system such as lost business, cancellations, BEO’s, contracts, sales call activities, etc… Responsible to work within the budgetary guidelines of all F&B menus and pricing structure and/or review with Director of Sales or General Manager for pricing that falls outside of those guidelines. Stay’s focused on all sales goals & objectives to ensure that the sales efforts are producing the annual sales revenues. Ensure that client is greeted at arrival. Assist with event billing and invoicing when requested. Provides input as needed for marketing ideas; provides back up support for assistant managers. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Experience : Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent Guest Service Skills. Excellent follow up and attention to detail skills required. Passion and excitement for the hospitality/service industry. Superb Sales and Marketing Skills. 2 year college degree or equivalent in marketing or related area of study. Minimum (2) years experience in hotel sales or equivalent position.
